Who We Are
We are a global distributor of personal care ingredients and specialty chemicals. Our current product portfolio includes: personal care ingredients, acetates and esters, fatty acid anhydrides, Grignard reagents, and iodine derivatives. We are continually innovating and have a steady stream of products under development. We also offer custom and contract manufacturing and work with customers requiring a non-disclosure agreement.
Amar is in charge of sales across North America and Europe. He has over 10 years of experience working with customers in the chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and agriculture industries. He holds a Bacehlor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Management degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Bhupendra is in charge of the global product portfolio and innovation. He has over 40 years of experience in the specialty chemicals business and also serves as the Managing Director of Bharat Rasayan. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Mumbai as well as a Licentiate in Technical and Applied Chemistry, Oils and Paints from VJTI, Mumbai.

FineChem has its roots in B. M. Shah & Company which began as a chemical trading business in 1948. We have over six decades of experience in the specialty chemicals business.
A chemical trading and distribution business, B. M. Shah & Company, based in Mumbai’s Central Business District was established in 1948
International Chemical Manufacturers, our first manufacturing facility based in Dahisar, Mumbai was established in 1970
Our largest manufacturing facility, Bharat Rasayan, based near Mumbai in Tarapur, Maharashtra was established in 1989
FineChem, LLC, an international trading and distribution business with offices in Chicago, IL was started in 2015
